This room is named after the painting “Koroadika Beach, Bay of Islands” by Augustus Earle that hangs in the room.
This lithograph from an original sketch by Earle was published in 1838. However such a sketch would have been drawn when the Beagle, captained by Robert Fitzroy and carrying among its passengers Earle and the famous naturalist Charles Darwin, visited the Bay of Islands in 1835.
This scene shows the settlement of Kororareka, which became a major centre of trade between Ngapuhi and the European sailors and whalers who visited there in the 1830s.
Two king single beds each with woollen underlay, electric blanket, an ensuite with a shower, luxurious towels, hair dryer, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries on arrival.
Sleeps 2 people only.
The room has fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, 32″ flat screen TV with Freeview TV, stereo, bedside lamps, alarm clock, iron and ironing board, standalone fan and a heater.
Outdoor seating on the patio with an umbrella is the perfect place to enjoy the rural view relaxing. A perfect piece of paradise right here!
